GIFTED AND TALENTED INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS

GATE DRAMA/READINGis an extension programme offered to 15 pupils in Year 1 and 2. The pupils meet once a week for and hour and forty minutes, during Term 2. They are children who are able to read at a high level and their main focus is on drama. Each week they have a new play to perform on stage. They take turns at different roles which can be director, stage hands, narrator, a character or the props organiser. The children are focusing on increasing their confidence when performing on stage, using voice projection and fluency, using the whole stage to perform on and using the drama conventions of voice, body and facial expression.
