CELEBRATIONS AROUND THE WORLD

Iroha, Clara, Chris Ivan and Paul got Principal's Award for their hard work - a special soft toy they could take home and return it to school on Monday.

When we have learnt about Celebrations in New Zealand, we moved on to Celebrations around the world.

Noodle Day

We thought it would be neice to have a small afternoon tea and eat hot and very spicy Korean noodles. They were so yummy!

Breakfast With Santa

All our year one students had Breakfast with Santa at Milford Mall today. They had sooooo much fun! Andy and Ditni were inspired by that and created their own Christmas cards.

Celebrations in NZ

Year 3 students have been learning about Celebrations and Festivals this term. Because we all came from different countries, our inquiry was related to celebrations in New Zealand - we wanted to find out more about most important holidays (celebrated in NZ) when we go to our ESOL class. We have learnt a lot of  new words. By learning new words, we can express ourselves better when we write and when we speak. By making posters about Celebrations, we have shown how creative we are.

BACK THE BLACKS DAY

To show our support as a NZ school, we are encouraging our students (and staff) to wear black clothes to school this Friday. It is a mufti day with a difference.
