Learner Profile Attributes

Our wonderful students learning English have continued to amaze and motivate us with their wonderful learning around the Learner Profile attributes! Angela in Year 6 has made Attribute posters in English and in other languages, and has received a glowing recommendation from Mrs Gordana Stanojevic about her excelling in the attributes of being Caring and a Communicator. Well done Angela, you are definitely developing these great attributes in your approach to life and learning!

GLOBAL CITIZEN CLUB

This week is a Chinese Language Week. Global Citizens Club members have celebrated it and discussed different aspects of Chinese Language. We are so lucky to have many bilingual students at our school, who can read, write and speak in at least two languages. It was very interesting listening to the contributions they made about their heritage language. We talked about Mandarin written language features, script, symbols and much more.

Te Wiki o Te Reo Maori

Our ESOL students have had an extra opportunity to not only celebrate Te Reo Maori in their classrooms, but in their ESOL classes, too. Those able to read and write in their heritage languages have worked collaboratively in creating multilingual vocabulary lists and have compared some of the language features of Te Reo Maori to their languages.
