Kings and Queens Day

Last Friday it was the Kings and Queens Day. We dressed up as Kings, Queens, Princes, Princesses, Knights, Dukes, Duchesses, and other royal family members. We did that because it was the Queen’s birthday. We also donated money for the Starship Hospital at the same time. Some children also made crowns with old newspapers. It was a good celebration. Many Milford Schools students worked hard to find appropriate costumes. The teachers choose four people in each class who wore the best costumes and they walked on the stage at assembly time. BOOK PARADE

On Tuesday it was a Book Parade. Many people dressed up. Our costumes were made of cardboard, paper, odl towels, milk bottles, cans and many other materials which can be recycled. We wore those costumes, because we care about our planet. For more photos, please visit our website http://www.milford.school.nz/category/image-galleries/literacy-week-2012
