LUNARFEST 2012 COLOURING CONTEST WINNERS


Madeleine Xiao, R19 (on the photo) and Masha Ivanovic, former Milford School student, have won prizes for their age groups at the ASB Lunar Festival and their work was on display at Telstra Clear Pacific Events Centre in January this year. There were hundreds of entries from primary and intermediate schools in New Zealand. Congratulations Milford School for winning TWO out of TWO prizes and thank you all students who have participated in this competition. Madeleine and Masha won ASB prize vouchers and were interviewed for World TV.

Korean Visiting Teachers at Milford School



On Monday the 8th August, nine Korean primary teachers came to Milford School. They will be spending two weeks here. The purpose of their visit is so they can learn more about education in New Zealand and share their learning with their students when they get back to Korea. We hope they enjoy their visit at our school and learn a lot. The classes they are assigned to are as follows:

Book Week at Milford School


One of the Book Week activities at Milford School is the Pavement Art. We have been very unlucky wwith tghe rain, so had to do it in the School Hall. Nikita, Y1 and Christine Y1 are the proud illustrators of those beautiful pieces of art.

Hina Matsuri


March 3rd is Japanese Girl's Day called hina-matsuri (Japanese doll festival.) It's a celebration for Japanese girls. Nazuna has celebrated Girl's Day and has brought treats to share with her friends at school today.

LOUD SHIRT DAY 18 September

















Milford School Kids in action-wearing loud shirts and fundraising for the deaf children. Andrei (Serbia), Inmoo (Korea), Yo Yo (China) and Yun Seo (Korea) have put a lot of effort and dressed up beautifully for this annual even at our school.
