On 19th August there was Mathex competition because week 3 was a Maths Week. When it started it was noisy in the hall, because it was all year 4, 5 and 6 classes. I was in one of the teams and we did lots of maths activities. Each correct answer was worth 10 points. There were many runners running around the teams and getting the questions from the markers. The teams were solving the questions. When the competition was finished the judge checked the scores and announced the winners. The winners were Room 4(on the photo), Room 3 and Room 9.

One of the activities in Room 4 during the Literacy Week was multilingual reading. Grace and Eric were reading to the rest of the class in Korean, Nazuna in Japanese, Polly in Chinese, Masha in Serbian and Osuka, from Sri Lanka, was reading in Sinhalese. Room 4 were fantastic listeners and enjoyed listening to their friends read fluently and confidently in their mother tongues.
